From 6 to 9pm, the Apple Duo (which is pianist Joe Holt and myself) are performing for the Velvet Hour at Oyster and Scales for their weekly jazz night.

Peter, the owner, shared that Oyster and Scales has been open since August 2025, but their signage was still on back order on 1/8/26, when I was there recently listening to the live jazz trio (which was members of The Hot Sauce Band). I enjoyed the "Mint To Be" mocktail and the salmon.

Owned by the same owner at the Spain Wine Bar, this restaurant is where the old Marina Deck was located. But now it is renovated with crystal chandeliers over the main bar, white table cloth-covered tables, amazing cocktails, tapas and full entrees. I don't know what the ladies room looked like previously, but I suspect they did a full renovation of the ladies room because it is nice!

 This place can seat hundreds of guests in various rooms. Peter shared that during the summer they can seat over a hundred up on the roof.

Expect to hear plenty of the Great American Songbook in jazz & blues hues.

Parking is easy to find this time of year.
